A lot of folks have spent this weekend at a campground somewhere in Utah, or in another state in the West, staying in tents, or campers, or some sort of recreational vehicle.
But we know for a fact they aren’t living in an RV that we saw this weekend. It is definitely a one-of-a-kind model.

Congratulations to Advantage BMW of Houston who will on Tuesday unveil a shiny new solar panel-covered roof which it says will make it Houston’s first solar-powered car dealership.
Installed by Houston-based Standard Renewable Energy LLC, the photovoltaic solar electric power system is expected to produce 18% of the electricity required to run Advantage BMW’s Midtown location. It is expected that the 30.75 kilowatt system will reduce the dealership’s carbon footprint by more than 2 million pounds of CO2.
James Rodriguez, Houston city councilman, will join officials of Advantage BMW and Standard Renewable …
MIT scientists have come up with a new solar energy they believe will replace conventional storage technology.
A new revolution in solar power is set to bring energy from the sun into the night. A major barrier to large-scale solar power is having a way to store the sun’s energy so that it can be used at night or when skies are cloudy.
Solar power has historically been restricted to being a daytime source of energy as conventional photovoltaic solar panels produce energy only when the sun is shining. Storing solar …
Yup. You read the headline right. And through the streets of St. Louis, Missouri, no less. For the first time in it’s history, the city has hosted a nude activist event. Easy prudes! I just report on energy stuff and this is an oil depedency protest.
Nude Butts Against Oil Dependence is a part of a traditional frequent schedule of activist events organized by World Naked Bike Ride that celebrates cycling and the human form while making a statement about making a real difference in reducing negative environmental impacts on this …

But if you walk around campus, you would be hard-pressed to find other examples of efforts to go green.
A different story is playing out inside UD’s laboratories.

For some, high gas prices mean postponing a vacation or changing the way they commute to work. For many others, it means making unacceptable decisions between paying for gas or having to forgo basic necessities such as food or medicine.
The escalation of gas prices also threatens our national security as we continue to rely on many of the least stable regions of the world …
SolarFest – great music, 60 workshops on renewable energy and sustainable living, a myriad of exhibits in the cool shade, camping in the woods (watch for Red Riding Wolf), designing and racing a solar-powered vehicle, hanging with friends — all this and more at an affordable price.
It’s not surprising that SolarFest is rated one of the Top 10 2008 summer events by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. The family-friendly New England renewable energy festival starts Friday afternoon, July 11, and runs all weekend until 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, …
